Payment of Tuition

Tuition is payable in advance on the first day of training. Students may arrange to pay the tuition in equal monthly installments. The payment method and terms of payment are defined in the student’s Enrollment Agreement, as are the consequences of delinquent tuition. If students require assistance in meeting their financial obligations, they should arrange to meet with a member of the school’s Business Office staff to discuss other financial options.

Tuition and Fees

Current tuition rates may be found in this catalog in the School Catalog Addendum 2. From time to time Healthcare Preparatory Institute reviews its tuition rates and makes any necessary adjustments. The rate in effect at the time the prospective student signs the Enrollment Agreement is the rate that applies for that enrollment period. Books and supplies are included in the tuition.

State General Fund Fees

Nevada law requires that a fee of $4.00 be assessed each student upon enrollment. These fees are transferred to the Commission on Postsecondary Education’s Administrator quarterly. The Administrator shall deposit the fees so transmitted with the State Treasurer for credit to the State General Fund.

Account for Student Indemnification

Nevada law requires that a fee of $5.00 be assessed each student upon enrollment. Said fees support the Nevada Account for Student Indemnification. This fund was established by the Nevada Legislature to reimburse students who might otherwise experience a financial loss as a result of untimely school closure. The Commission on Postsecondary Education administers the fund. Institutional participation is mandatory.

Students should keep a copy of their enrollment agreement, any promissory note, tuition receipts, or canceled checks. These documents may be used to determine the amount of tuition paid. Students should also keep any records indicating the percentage of the program that has been completed. With these items, a student could substantiate a claim for reimbursement from the account.

For further information, contact the Nevada Commission on Postsecondary Education at (702) 486-7330.
